In 2010 The Songwriter's Beat launched its first Song Contest, with prizes from Martin Guitars, Kala Ukelele, Shure and performance slots at the Songwriter's Beat 2010 Festival. Contest judges included Grammy Award winning record producers and celebrity songwriters Ashford & Simpson, Mike Barbiero, Mike Thorne, Steve Addabbo, Ted Perlman, Ann Ruckert and Joel Jaffe.
